Wilton Historical Society Picks a New Director

WILTON, Conn. – The Wilton Historical Society has named a Fairfield resident with "outstanding fundraising credentials, and ... strong curatorial and educational experience in museums" to be its next director. 

Leslie Nolan starts May 22, which is also the date of the society’s 75th anniversary, Society Co-president Greg Chann announced. 

From 2006 to 2010, Nolan worked as executive director of Norwalk's Center for Contemporary Printmaking, where she lead a $2 million capital campaign. She also helped develop a strong community outreach program and improved the center's workshops for young people and seniors. .

Previously, Nolan served as curator of the Museum of the City of New York and was a teacher at Darien High School.

She holds a master’s degree in art history from Columbia University and a bachelor’s in education from Western Carolina University.

“I’m thrilled to be able to join the Society and look forward to working with the staff, many dedicated volunteers and the community to build on its strong foundation,” Nolan said.
