Wilton Agencies Make Their Budget Requests

WILTON, Conn. – Budget season starts in Wilton next week, and with it a host of presentations from all those receiving town money.

The presentations start Tuesday Jan. 10 with the Board of Selectman hearing from the Police, Dispatch, the Wilton Library and Ambler Farm.

On Thursday, Jan. 12, Social Services, the Ambulance Corps, Trackside Teen Center and Nursing and Homecare will present their budget proposals.

The meetings will take place in Town Hall Room B at 7:30 p.m.

“This is the preliminary requests,” First Selectman Bill Brennan said at the Board of Selectman meeting Tuesday. “We’ll be going through seven budgets in two days. We’ll have our work cut out for us next week.”

Brennan said that the presentations are expected to focus on the money and not the programs.
