WILTON, Conn. As Wilton prepares to mark the long Memorial Day weekend, here are some of the events happening May 25 to 27:
Friday, May 25
Coffeehouse for Teens. 7 to 9 p.m. C.O.D.E.S. or Community, Outreach, Dedication, Education and Success, is holding its monthly coffeehouse event for the teens of Wilton. All are welcome to join. Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road, Wilton.
Steel Magnolias on Stage. 8 to 10 p.m. The Wilton Playshops production of Steel Magnolias is in the last weekend, with the final show Saturday night. Wilton Playshop 15 Lovers Lane, Wilton.
Saturday, May 26
Breakfast with Candidates. 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The Democratic Town Committee of Wilton is holding its annual Spring Breakfast at Trackside Teen Center. Residents are welcome to meet their state Senate and House candidates as well as hear a talk from Connecticuts president pro tempore, Sen. Donald E. Williams Jr., D-Brooklyn. Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road, Wilton.
A Day for Crafts. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The 22nd Annual Wilton Rotary Club Open Arts and Crafts Show will be held at the town green. Families are invited to enjoy the show. Wilton Town Green, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton.
Tales to Tails. 11 a.m. to noon Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue Therapy Dog Program will bring therapy dogs to the library for children to read to them. Children must read independently to participate. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton.
Sunday, May 27
Run for Schools. 9 to 11 a.m. The Wilton Education Foundation is holding its Fourth Annual Get Smart for Wilton 5K at the High School Track. All are welcome to run or cheer on the runners. Wilton High School Track, 395 Danbury Road, Wilton.
