What's Happening in Wilton This Weekend

WILTON, Conn. – It’s all about the book fair this weekend. Here is what’s happening in Wilton this weekend April 27 to 29:

Friday, April 27

Wilton Library garden. 4-5 p.m. Children and families are invited to the library to enjoy the community garden that has been worked on for the past month.

Miller-Driscoll PTA Spring Fling Dance: 7-8:30 p.m. Students from the elementary school are invited to come and dance with a DJ. Parents are reminded that they are not to just drop off their children.

Saturday, April 28

Wilton Library book sale: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s the first day of the library's “Gigantic Book Sale.” With a $15 admission fee from 7 to 9 a.m., early buyers get to see the whole collection first. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. the sale is open and free to public.

Merwin’s Meadow road race: 7:30 to 10 a.m. The third Annual Daffodil Dash 5K will benefit Town & Country Montessori School of Wilton. Registration/check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. The Kids Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m.

Wilton Family Y Healthy Kids Day: noon to 3 p.m. The event will include a birds exhibition, a visit from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers mascot and a session of nutrition tips. Families can have IDs made for their children at the New York Life Amber Alert booth.

Sunday, April 29

Wilton Library book sale: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The book sale continues for a second full day, and the silent auction ends.

Wilton Library computer class: 1:30 to 3 p.m. In a demonstration-style class, Michael Franco will show you how to make slideshows with music using Windows Live Movie Maker.

Woodcock Nature Center event: 2 to 4 p.m. The afternoon features scheduled walks with naturalists and a photography hike with Daryl Hawk that kicks off Wilton Garden Club’s Discover Outdoor Wilton photography contest.
