What's Happening in Wilton This Weekend

WILTON, Conn. – Don’t spend your weekend just doing taxes, not when there are concerts and exhibits to enjoy in town. Here is what’s happening in Wilton the weekend of April 13 to 15:


• Wilton Library – 6:30 to 7 p.m.: The Wilton Library is holding a reception for the Wilton Arts Council Focus 2012 Photography Exhibition. It’s an annual exhibition featuring artists who use a variety of photography media. Exhibition will run through April 28.

• Trackside Teen Center – 7 to 10 p.m.: Local band ADD123 will take the stage for a free show for teens.


• Wilton Library – 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.: The Library’s New Perspectives Film Series will be showing “Herb & Dorothy”, about two ordinary people who amassed one of the most important collections of contemporary art in the 1960s.

• Trackside Teen Center – 8 to 10 p.m.: Trackside is hosting an acoustic session with bands A Little Affair and Big Fat Marker.


• Weir Farm – 2 to 3 p.m.: The National Park site is hosting a commemorative event to celebrate the sesquicentennial anniversary of the Civil War discussing the life, artwork and legacy of J. Alden Weir.

• Wilton Library – 4 to 5 p.m.: Members of Connecticut Composers Inc. will be featured in the Connecticut’s Own Composers concert with performances by Elizabeth Lauer, Frank Vasi, Margaret Collins Stoop, Allen Brings and John Alan Rose with soprano soloist Sing Rose, among others.
