The Causes of the First World War: 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Historian Mark Albertson will talk about why World War I is the most important event in human history in the last 97 years. He will focus on machine guns, submarines, airplanes, poison gas, motorized transport, the tank and flamethrower all having been introduced in modern warfare. Reading at Ambler: 2:15 p.m.-3 p.m. Children ages 4-6 are invited to join a visit to Ambler Farm. Caregivers and children will meet at the farm to enjoy theme-based stories as well as a nature walk.
