WILTON, Conn. An underage drinking party at a home on Moriarty Drive on Saturday night was broken up by the Wilton police, responding to an anonymous call.
Nine youths were in the home, and when the door was opened for the police, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol from the home, according to a report from the Wilton Police Department.
The 17-year-old male who opened the door admitted to hosting a party with underage drinking, the police report said. No parent was at the residence. The teen who lives there was charged with possession of less than 0.5 ounces of marijuana. The other teens at the party were not charged, although their parents were informed.
Police reported visiting the same residence the day before on a noise complaint from a neighbor. According to the police, the complaint concerned a dirt bike in the back yard.

Danbury resident Stephanie Strano, 38, was charged with using a cellphone while driving and driving under the influence early Sunday, police report. Police said Strano was seen driving south on Route 7 using a cellphone and when she was pulled over police determined she had been drinking. Strano failed a field sobriety test, police said. She is due in court April 26.
A 17-year-old driver was stopped between Belden Hill Road and Old Belden Hill Road early Monday after failing to stop at a stop sign, police said. Officers said the teen was driving after curfew and had alcohol and tobacco in the car. According to the report, the teen had also been drinking before driving. The teen is due in court April 25 and was released into the custody of a parent.
