WILTON, Conn. Get an expert's "boots on the ground" view of what's going on with the economy on Thursday, April 19, when Jared Bernstein, former chief economic adviser to Vice President Joe Biden, speaks at the Wilton Library.
Jareds broad expertise is rooted in the concerns of most Americans," said John Kalamarides, chair of the Wilton Democratic Town Committee, which invited Bernstein to speak. "Hes an economist who looks at issues on a macro level, but like so many of us in Wilton, he and his wife are raising a family, so he has a boots-on-the-ground perspective too.
Bernstein will speak at 7 p.m. in the library's Brubeck Room. He is currently a senior fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and has appeared as an expert in articles in The New York Times, Washington Post and the Financial Times as well as on PBS, CNN, CNBC and NBC, among others.
Reservations are required and can be made online at the Wilton Democratic Town Committee's website or by calling the reservation line at 203-423-3391. Refreshments will be served and a question and answer session with Bernstein will follow his remarks. The program is free.
