UPDATE - The charges as reported below, were dropped by Town and Country Wednesday.
WILTON, Conn. Wreaths and shrubs worth over $200 were stolen from the Town and Country store in Wilton a week ago, and then returned.
The gentleman actually returned [the stolen items] to the business, Wilton Police Lt. Donald Wakeman said. He brought them back and returned them after hours. He just returned them.
Despite his change of heart, the accused was arrested and given a Thursday, Dec. 8, court date. The theft was reported to the Wilton Police Department on Nov. 28.

? Middlebrook Middle School reported the theft of a $100 mountain bike that was a gift to Toys for Tots. The bike was later found behind the school.
? A Radio Shack employee left her personal iPhone, valued at $778, at the customer service counter to assist a customer. Wakeman said that while the employee assisted a customer, the suspect, a tall, slim black male, hung around the counter. When the employee looked for her phone some time later, it was no longer there. Police are asking neighboring businesses if they have experienced similar occurrences with a suspect matching that description.
? The Outdoor Sports Center on Danbury Road reported the theft of several North Face jackets valued at $1,500. Police are examining surveillance footage.
