WILTON, Conn. A new sign greets drivers when they come into Wilton Center from Route 33.
The sign is a continuing effort to make our village shopping center an attractive destination to shop, enjoy a meal at one of our many restaurants, catch a movie or just stroll around the center, said First Selectman Bill Brennan.
A privatepublic cooperation among the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club and the town got the sign on to the corner of Route 33 and Center Street. The groups helped to underwrite the project. Brennan said the groups were instantly supportive and he was grateful for their generosity.
The sign was reviewed by both the Planning and Zoning Department and the town historian, to make sure it kept with the overall look of Wiltons downtown area.
