WILTON, Conn. Handguns and jewelry worth $15,000 were taken in a burglary last week at the Fawn Ridge Condominiums that was similar to a break-in two months earlier at the Wilton complex, police report.
The second-floor apartment was broken into by prying open a kitchen window near a balcony. Wilton Police Lt. Donald Wakeman said the other break-in came in October and that they could be a connected.
Just under $15,000 worth of handguns and jewelry were stolen from the house sometime during Dec. 21.
The seven handguns were packed away and not on display in the home, Wakeman said. The guns are worth $3,700, the most expensive being a Browning worth $1,100. The approximate value of the jewelry is $11,000.
Wakeman asks that residents keep a lookout for suspicious activity and call the Wilton Police Detective Bureau at 203-834-6360 if they see something.
