WILTON, Conn. Ambler Farm's two biggest fundraisers can help residents of Wilton and surrounding towns with their holiday decorations, particularly wreaths and Christmas trees.
I think what so fun about this is that its so unlike any other silent auction Ive been to. While it is the kick off to our holiday green sale, the wreaths arent just for the holiday season they can be for anything, Kineon said.
Between 60 to 100 imaginative wreaths will be up for bidding, Kineon said. In a past auction, a wreath made of the farm's barbed wire was sold.
The Art of the Wreath silent auction takes place Dec. 2, from 7 p.m.-9:30 p.m. and registration is required. You can register here.
Ambler Farm also will be selling Balsam and Fraser trees on the first two weekends in December.
Its not just coming to the farm, grabbing your tree and leaving, said Dan Riley, a member of the Ambler Farm board. This is a feeling, an emotion of sharing the event with the people in the community.
There are about 160 volunteers plus Santa Claus at the tree sale, Riley said.
