More than 70 merchants—from retailers, restaurants, caterers, crafters and local organizations—will fill Old Ridgefield Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the event, which is organized by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce.

“We here in Wilton already know what we have, so the goal here is to let others know by showcasing the community as a shopping and dining destination,” said Janeen Leppert, executive director of the Chamber. “This a way for us to celebrate our town and support our merchants.”

Some of the many participating merchants include Ancona’s Wines & Liquors, B Chic, Beadability, Classey Accessories, Erin DeLuca Jewelry, Green Leaf Organic Bakery & Café, krik-it, Lollipop Kid, Luca Ristorante Italiano, Open House Gift Shop, Outdoor Sports Center, The Sweetery, Wilton Library and Yogapata.

Also participating will be a number of local organizations and nonprofits, such as Wilton Commons, Wilton Go Green, Wilton Historical Society and Wilton Rotary. ( A full list of participating merchants is available here.)

During the event, Old Ridgefield Road will be closed to traffic and transformed into a pedestrian walkway. Retailers with storefronts in the area will set up displays along the sidewalk while other merchants will set up tents and booths along the roadway.

Beyond the shopping and food factor, the event will also include entertainment for visitors of all ages. There will be live demonstrations from Green Leaf Organic Bakery & Cafe, Karate Universe, Yogapata, Conservatory of Dance, the Wilton YMCA’s Zumba class, and music from Uncle Zak’s ukulele, the Wilton Community Steel Band, Brett Steinberg and Brett Beatty.

For the younger crowd, there will be a live petting zoo, a magician, balloon characters, sand art, tie-dye, games and more. All of the entertainment will be centered around the gazebo on the Green, Leppert said.

“There really is something for the whole family,” she said. “Parents can enjoy some shopping, food and drink while the kids enjoy the petting zoo, the magician and the other activities we have for them.”
