Wilton Runners Set To Gallop In Georgetown Day 5K

WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Chamber of Commerce and Wilton Family YMCA will kick off Georgetown Day with the 10th annual Gallop 5K and Pony Express Kids' Fun Run on June 14.

The Gallop 5k is a timed, mostly flat race on a 3.1-mile route along Old Mill Road. Check in begins at 10:15 a.m. at the corner of routes 57 and 107 and the race starts at 11 a.m. The Pony Express Kids' Fun Run will follow.

Participants are encouraged to attend the Georgetown Day Festival after the races. The festival will be from noon until 7 p.m. and features more than 75 vendors, kids activities and entertainment, a dunking booth, a chili cook-off and more.
