WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Historical Society reading group will host a brown bag lunch event to discuss the book "The Letters of Abigail Adams: The Intimate Lives and Revolutionary Ideas of Abigail Adams and Her Two Remarkable Sisters” by Diane Jacobs on Tuesday, Sept. 23, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Much has been written about the enduring marriage of President John Adams and his wife, Abigail. But few know of the equally strong bond Abigail shared with her sisters, Mary Cranch and Elizabeth Shaw Peabody, accomplished women in their own right.
Call Katherine Demo to register for Booked for Lunch at the Wilton Historical Society at 203-762-7257.
