Wilton Library To Host Recital by Composers Group

WILTON, Conn. – Members of Connecticut Composers, Inc. will perform at the Wilton Library on Sunday, April 15, as a part of the library’s Connecticut’s Own concert series.

The musicians will take the stage at 4 p.m. in the Brubeck Room, where many of them have played before.

The event is free, but registration is recommended. Seating will begin at 3:30 p.m. and doors will close at 4.

Performances are by members of Connecticut Composers, Inc. They include:

  • Elizabeth Lauer playing "Carousel," a set of dance variations for piano;
  • Pianist Allen Brings and flutist Margaret Collins Stoop premiering Frank Vasi’s "Music for Flute, Tenor Saxophone and Piano No. 2";
  • Composer John Alan Rose and his wife, soprano Sing Rose, performing John's "A Ticket to the Theater";
  • Piano trio Nicola Gruen, Melissa Westgate and Kathleen Theisen presenting "Century Music" by Eugenie Rocherolle.
