WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Family Y is inviting kids in third- through fifth-grade to come learn about a new game called "Gaga."
Gaga is played with a soft foam ball that combines the skills of dodging, striking, running, and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees.
It's played in a small fenced in area, known as a "pit." The game is "every person for him or herself." If a player gets hit below the knees with the ball, they are out. The last player in the pit wins.
A late fall session of gaga will be held at the Wilton Family Y running from Nov. 4 through Dec. 21. Gaga sessions will take place on Thursdays or Fridays from 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. The cost is $30 per child for members or $45 per child for non-members.
The Wilton Family Y is at 644 Danbury Road.
