WILTON, Conn. The 16th annual Wilton Chamber Golf Classic is set for May 14 at the Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown.
Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. and a best ball/scramble will take place so golfers of all abilities can be accommodated on the course. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the Chamber of Commerce Classic will start with a shotgun blast at 12:30 p.m.
There is a $175 player fee, which includes greens fees, a cart, an afternoon buffet, cocktail and dinner in the Clubhouse. There will also be hole-in-one awards and prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin.
The Golf Classic is about much more than golf; its about giving back to the business community, added Frank Rowella, a partner in the sponsoring accounting firm Reynolds & Rowella, LLP. This is always a great opportunity for us. Were privileged to continue the tradition of being the title sponsor of this terrific event.
There will be an opportunity to win a 2012 Nissan from Bruce Bennett Nissan, which is also sponsoring the hole-in-one contest. The foursome with the top score will bring home the Wilton Cup and qualify for entry to next years Classic.
The proceeds benefit the chambers community initiatives and its scholarship fund.
