What’s Happening in Wilton This Weekend

WILTON, Conn. – A medieval movie, a first-ever sidewalk sale and outdoor theater are some of the events planned for this weekend in around Wilton.

Friday

Medieval Movies at Wilton Library: 10:15 a.m. The library will show “A Kid in King Arthur’s Court.” Snacks will be provided. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Saturday

Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s Street Fair and Sidewalk Sale: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the first time ever, Wilton Center will be transformed into a pedestrian walkway lined with vendor booths from Godfrey Place to Center Street. Event is supported by retailers, restaurants, crafters, and local civic organizations with a goal of showcasing Wilton as a retail and dining destination. Wilton Center, Old Ridgefield Road.

Silvermine Arts Center’s Student Exhibition: noon to 5 p.m. One of the most popular shows of the year, the Silvermine Arts Center’s Student Exhibition showcases the artistic achievements of the Silvermine School of Art students of all ages, from youth to adult. The gallery is open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and by appointment Monday and Tuesday. Silvermine Arts Center, New Canaan.

Sunday

Summer Theater of New Canaan's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat:" 3 p.m. General admission seats start at $20 for open lawn seating and picnics. Performances will be held at 3 p.m. Sundays and 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 5. Waveny Park, New Canaan.
