Nominate a Wilton Resident for Community Award

WILTON, Conn. – Since 1986, Wilton has recognized and celebrated residents and organizations with the Distinguished Citizen Award. Nominations are now being accepted for this year's award.

All nominations are due by May 30. The nominee must fit this specific criteria:

• has made volunteer activities a priority in their life or through leadership in a business or organization’s work;

• has a record of long-term service to the community;

• has made difference in enhancing Wilton’s quality of life;

• has supported a variety of community organizations with volunteer efforts; and

• is known as someone who works hard to makes projects successful.

Over the years, 75 awards have been given out to individuals, businesses and civic groups that have shown long-term service to the community. Last year's recipients were Doon & John Foster and the Wilton Historical Society.

This year's awards will be given Saturday, Nov. 10.
