The concert will be held in the Wilton Library's Brubeck Room from 4 to 5 p.m.
The group will perform “Summer in Winter,” music composed and performed to evoke the warmth of another season.
The program will include pieces by Samuel Barber, Malcolm Arnold, Jim Parker and John Philip Sousa
While the quintet was formed in 2012, each member has performed in other chamber music groups throughout the last 30 years in and around Fairfield County.
Ralph Kirmser on oboe has played with the Prevailing Winds Quintet, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Orvieto Musica (Italy), and the Morningside Wind Quintet in New York.
Janet Atherton on clarinet has been with the Prevailing Winds Quintet, Connecticut Little Symphony and the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra.
Rosemary Dellinger on bassoon has been the principal bassoonist of La Orquesta Sinfonica de Maracaibo in Venezuela, along with spending time with the Connecticut Little Symphony.
John Harley on horn has been a member of the Norwalk Symphony since 1976. He has previously played with the Ridgefield Symphony, Connecticut Grand Opera, Bridgeport Symphony, Aspen Festival Orchestra, the Manfred Knoop Orchestra, the Wellesley Symphony, the Central Massachusetts Symphony and the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra.
Dutch-born Jan van den Berg on flute was solo flutist with various symphony orchestras and chamber music groups in the Netherlands, the rest of Europe, as well as Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
The concert is free, but registration is highly recommended.
