WILTON, Conn. You may have heard whispers about geocaching and wondered what it is. Now you can learn at a class offered by Wilton Continuing Education.
The two-day program will teach you how to take part in a treasure hunt where you follow GPS coordinates to find a box someone has hidden. The box could be as big as a trash can or as small as a film canister. Once you locate the container, you can leave a token for others to find.
Starting Tuesday, May 15, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Trackside Teen Center there will be a workshop on geocaching and how to use GPS applications to find a cache. On Saturday, May 19, class members will go outside to find and place their own caches.
Participants need access to a GPS app or device in order to participate. Families with children can also join.
