Hit The Garden At Wilton's Weir Farm To Celebrate Public Lands Day

WILTON/RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Weir Farm National Historic Site in Wilton and Ridgefield will host a volunteer invasive plant pull from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, as part of the celebration of National Public Lands Day

Tools, gloves and water will be provided. Proper attire includes sturdy closed toe shoes, long pants, long sleeves and hats. Sunscreen, insect repellent and a water bottle are recommended.

Registration is required and space is limited. To register or for more information, call 203-834-1896, Ext. 28. This volunteer opportunity is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Parent or guardian supervision required for participants less than 15 years of age.
