WILTON, Conn. The Wilton Librarys Beyond Words annual benefit is set to take place at the end of the month on Friday March 30, starting at 7 p.m.
The event will feature foods from Cannondale chef Tim LaBant of The Schoolhouse and music by Wiltonian Arthur Lipner & Brasilian Vibes. Sugar & Olives of Norwalk will be providing desserts.
For the second year, guests at the auction will be using iPads to place their bids, using the BidPal system.
They were able to thoroughly enjoy their friends company and at the same time, keep up with which fabulous items they were being outbid on, event co-chair Robin Roscillo said in a statement.
Using the electronic devices, guests can bid on many items such as tickets to the New York Ballet and dinner; wine and champagne offerings; a private meeting with "State of Wonder" author Ann Patchett before her talk at the librarys Wilton Reads! program in May; first edition autographed books; sporting event tickets; puppy training and photos; Wiltons own Pizza Truck Company party; children's tea parties; and a visit to the Wilton Fire Station with a tour and photo op for kids.
Tickets for Wilton Librarys fundraiser range from $150 to $500, with a table for four with reserved parking for $2,500. Guests may purchase their tickets online, by calling Anne Rowlands at 203-762-3950, Ext. 216, or by stopping at the circulation desk.
