Author To Lead Wilton Talk On Adult Children Caring For Elderly Parents

WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Library and Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County are presenting "Let's Talk: Adult Children and Their Parents," a discussion about elderly care from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12.

It takes place in the Brubeck Room at the library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton.

The forum will be led by guest speaker Shannon White, author of the new book, "The Invisible Conversations With Your Aging Parents."

This program and panel discussion will offer practical advice to adult children and their parents on how to communicate effectively about sensitive and important issues, such as living arrangements, money, grief, memory loss, the ability to drive, living wills, advanced directives and more.

Panelists will include experts in elder law, health care, social work, end-of-life and dementia.

The event is free, but registration is recommended. You may do so here. Refreshments will be served.
