WILTON, CONN. -- Emily and Hakan Basaran may have had to re-locate their restaurant business, but fortunately for Wilton diners, they took their chef, and their menu of northern Italian delectables, with them, according to a review in The New York Times.
The Basarans, who ran Carpe Diem in New Canaan, opened Cielo in Wilton last August, The New York Times reported.
Their chef, Victor Pastuizaca, is now cooking up soul-satisfying entrees such as Salmone scottato (wild Alaskan salmon) and Cielo risotto al prosecco (risotto with shrimp, mussels and peas), according to The New York Times’ review.
The Times' reviewer rated Cielo as "very good."
Cielo is located at 142 Old Ridge Road, Wilton, Conn.
