WILTON, Conn. -- Staff members at Woodcock Nature Center in Wilton have a variety of activities planned for Earth Day on Friday.
From 9:30 -10:30 a.m., the staff will lead a walk to look for signs of spring’s arrival, including frog eggs and salamanders. All ages are welcome for this activity.
From 1 - 4 p.m., participants will make an up-cycled terrarium or recycled crafts or both. Attendees will also be invited to hike the trails, explore the grounds or play on the natural playground. Nets will be available for scooping along the pond. All ages are welcome.
The cost of up-cycled terrariums is $10, which is payable the day of event. Attendees can bring their own vessels from home and make a one-of-a-kind up-cycled terrarium. Recycled crafts are free; make various crafts out of recycled materials.
Attendees will meet at the Nature Center building at 9:30 a.m.
