Monday, Sept.  17

Wilton Zoning Board of Appeals: 7:15 p.m. The Zoning Board of Appeals will have its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Tuesday, Sept.  18

Wilton Board of Selectmen Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Wilton Board of Selectmen will host its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Tuesday Book Buzz at Wilton Library: 11 a.m.- noon. There will be a Book Buzz conversation moderated by one of Wilton Library’s reference librarians. Participants are encouraged to come and chat about one of their most recent favorite reads or just listen to what others recommend. Registration suggested but not required. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Wilton Board of Finance: 7:30 p.m. The Board of Finance will have its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

Wilton Farmers Market: 2-6 p.m.  The weekly outdoor market, held at the Wilton Historical Society, will feature local produce, cheeses, and baked goods. The Wilton Farmer's Market is supported by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, the Wilton Historical Society, and the Wilton Library.  The market is comprised of local farmers and artisans who come together to provide shoppers a venue in which to purchase the freshest products from local vendors.  Come purchase fresh market items every Wednesday. Wilton Library Lego Club For Littles: 4-5 p.m. Kids in grades K-2 are invited to join this weekly LEGO Club. Each session will be based on a new theme such as castles, vehicles, towers and more. Children will learn about the theme through stories and non-fiction books and then create a LEGO masterpiece from the library’s LEGO collection.  There are 20 spots available for this program on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets will be passed out at the Children’s reference desk starting at 3:45 p.m. the day of the program. This program runs through Oct. 31. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Thursday, Sept. 20

Literary Olio with Ben Van Vechten at Wilton Library: 10:30 a.m.- noon:  Ben Van Vechten returns to the Wilton Library for a special two-day seminar highlighting his choices in what he calls an olio—“a collection of miscellaneous pieces.”  Copies of the selections will be available at the front desk before the seminar begins. This program is made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor. Advance registration is required. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Friday, Sept. 21

Wilton Library Tots to Teens Book Sale: Noon - 6 p.m. Wilton Library’s Tots to Teens Book Sale Fundraiser features books for children of all ages – from board books and picture books to young adult novels, including fantasy and science fiction – all gently used or like-new. Also available are books on tape and CD, DVDs, and music CDs. All items are bargain priced. Proceeds benefit the library. The sale will continue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Wilton High School Freshman Football: 7 p.m. The Wilton Warriors freshmen will play St. Joseph High School at Fujitani Field. Wilton High School, 395 Danbury Road.
