Tuesday, Sept.  4

Wilton Board of Selectmen meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Wilton Board of Selectmen will host its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Tuesday Book Buzz at Wilton Library: 11 a.m. to noon. There will be a Book Buzz conversation moderated by a reference librarian. Participants are encouraged to come and chat about one of their most recent favorite reads or just listen to what others recommend. Registration suggested but not required. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Wednesday, Sept. 5

Wilton Conservation Commission: 7:30 p.m. The Wilton Conservation Commission will have its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.

Wilton Farmers Market: 2 to 6 p.m. The weekly outdoor market will feature local produce, cheeses and baked goods. It is supported by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, the Wilton Historical Society and the Wilton Library. Local farmers and artisans come together to provide shoppers a venue in which to purchase fresh products from local vendors. Come purchase fresh market items every Wednesday. Stamford Hospital’s Mobile Facility for Mammography Screening at Wilton Library: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Wilton Library is teaming with Stamford Hospital’s Mobile Wellness Program to bring wellness to you where you live, work, play and learn. Services offered include baseline mammograms for women 35 to 40 years old and annual mammograms for women older than 40. The service is fully digital, fast, convenient, private and insurance is accepted. To schedule an appointment, call 203-276-5990 and choose option 1. The coach will be in the parking lot of the Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Thursday, Sept. 6

“Business Smarts: Social Media Marketing:” 8 to 10 a.m. This presentation will focus on the social media marketing platforms Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. Case Studies of B2C and B2B businesses will be profiled with an emphasis on small businesses. The program will be presented by Diane McKeever, a certified social media marketing professional who has worked with nonprofit groups in establishing and growing their social media marketing plans. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. The program is $10 per session. A light breakfast will be served. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Friday, Sept. 7

Robert The Guitar Guy at Wilton Library: 11 a.m. Children ages 2 to 6 are invited to a fun performance by Robert the Guitar Guy. Robert uses music, props, movement and dance to entertain children and their grownups. Registration is recommended. This program will take place the first Friday of each month from September to January. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Andy Romer Photography Exhibition Reception at Wilton Library: 6 to 7:30 p.m. This one-man show features local photographer Andy Romer, winner of the Wilton Arts Council “Focus 2011” Best in Show Award. Romer is a New York-based photographer who grew up in Wilton. He is a recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. The exhibit runs through Sept. 28 and is open to the public.
