Drop-In Summer Crafts at Wilton Library: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Children of all ages can stop by during regular library hours and make a Medieval-themed craft to take home. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
Tuesday, July 31
Wonderful Ones and Twos At Wilton Library: 11-11:30 a.m. This program is a sharing time for toddlers and their caregivers. The finger plays, songs, books and activities are selected to introduce children to the library and to story times. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. This program is weekly through Aug. 14. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
Tuesday Book Buzz at Wilton Library: 11 a.m. to noon. There will be a Book Buzz conversation moderated by one of Wilton Librarys reference librarians. Participants are encouraged to come and chat about one of their most recent favorite reads or just listen to what others recommend. Registration suggested but not required. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
Wednesday, Aug. 1
Wilton Water Commission: 5 p.m. The commission will have its regular meeting. Wilton Town Hall, 238 Danbury Road.
Thursday, Aug. 2
A Crooked Stick at the Wilton Library: 4-4:45 p.m. Children entering grades 4-6 are invited to this program about the English longbow. Join us for a display of Medieval archery kit and a talk about how archery played a part in the life of the people of the time. Kids also will have the opportunity to watch a live archery shooting demonstration. Questions and answers to follow. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
Friday, Aug. 3
Author Cheryl Strayed at Wilton Library: 7 p.m. Strayed will talk about her book "Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice On Love and Life From Dear Sugar." Registration is recommended. Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Elm Street Books in New Canaan. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
