WILTON, Conn. Bands at Trackside, a student playshop show, children reading to pets and outdoor theater are some of the events planned for this weekend in and around Wilton.
Friday, July 27
Medieval Movies at Wilton Library: 10:15 a.m. The library will show Robin Hood. Snacks will be provided. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
Band Night At Trackside Teen Center: 7 p.m. Broadcast Hearts and Run With Saints and Brett Steinberg will perform. Tickets are $5. Trackside Teen Center, 15 Station Road.
Wilton Summer Student Playshop Presents "Lucky Stiff": 8 p.m. Harry Witherspoon, an unassuming English shoe salesmans uneventful life takes a dramatic turn when he learns that his uncle, a casino manager from Atlantic City, has been killed by his blind lover and he stands to inherit $6,000,000 but only if he agrees to take his uncles corpse on a trip to Monte Carlo. Otherwise, the money will all go to his uncles favorite charity, the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn. In a quest for this inheritance he encounters a host of quirky characters, all in hot pursuit of his uncles money. The performance is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. Performances will be held Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 5. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children and seniors. Wilton Playshop, 15 Lovers Lane.
Saturday, July 28
Tales to Tails At Wilton Library: 11 a.m. to noon. The Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue Therapy Dog Program will be bringing therapy dogs to the library for children to read to them. The use of trained therapy dogs in reading programs can result in children who feel comfortable reading out loud, read more often, attempt more difficult books, and actually look forward to reading. Children must read independently to participate in this program. Registration is required. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Summer Theater of New Canaan's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat:" 3 p.m. General admission seats start at $20 for open lawn seating and picnics. Performances will be held at 3 p.m., Sundays and at 8 p.m., Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 5. Waveny Park, New Canaan.
