Brown Bag Lunch Series: Noon. Catch a lunchtime lecture about crazy quilts at the Wilton Historical Society. Susan Jerome, collection manager for the Historic Textile and Costume Collection at the University of Rhode Island, will speak about the history of crazy quilts and talk about Wilton's own crazy quilt, which is on display as part of the "75 Objects/75 Years" exhibit. Guests are encouraged to bring their own crazy quilts. Bring your own brown bag lunch. Refreshments and desserts will be provided. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.
"Frost / Nixon:" 8 p.m. This comedic play revolves around British talk-show host David Frost and disgraced former president Richard M. Nixon. Determined to resurrect his career, Frost risks everything on a series of in-depth interviews in order to extract a public apology from Nixon, who is equally bent on redeeming himself in his nation’s eyes. Both men are desperate to out-talk and upstage each other as the cameras roll. Tickets are $18 to $20 and available online or by calling 203-226-1983. Meet Wilton’s Own Matt Davies: 11 a.m. to noon. Meet Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Matt Davies. The multitalented Wilton resident will read his new children’s book "Ben Rides On," a funny tale of a boy, a bully and a bike. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing, courtesy of Elm Street Books of New Canaan. Registration required. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

8th Annual Georgetown Gallop 5K: 10:15 a.m. Enjoy this 3.1-mile, timed and mostly flat race along picturesque Old Mill Road. Check in starts at 10:15 a.m. at Route 57 and 107. Race begins at 11 a.m. The 5K will be followed by the Pony Express Kids Fun Run. Entry fee is $20 for the 5K and $10 for the kids fun run. Registration can be completed online. Runners are encouraged to attend the annual Georgetown Day celebration following the races.
