Fiber Fridays at the Wilton Historical Society: 10 a.m. to noon. Come to stitch and chat about your handwork, ask questions, share stories and talk about anything that comes to mind. All are welcome. Come and discover more about the Wilton Historical Society's Fiber Arts while working on your own fiber projects.Coffee and tea served. Host Arlene Parkhurst will be available to untangle your questions. Admission is free for historical society members and $10 for nonmembers. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.
Wilton High School Football: 5 p.m. The Wilton High School Warriors will host the Fairfield Warde High School Mustangs at Tom Fujitani Field. Wilton High School, 395 Danbury Road.
Saturday, Nov. 17
Wilton Historical Society Lambert House Walking Tours: 11 a.m. to noon. The tour begins at Lambert Corners and includes nine historic buildings, including the 19th-century schoolhouse, railroad station and the general store and concludes at the Christmas Barn. The tour is hosted by Town Historian Carol Russell and her husband Bob Russell, a historian, author and former Wilton first selectman. Admission is free for historical society members and $10 for nonmembers. Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road.
Sunday, Nov. 18
Doug McDonald and his Westport Passivhaus At Wilton Library: 4:30 p.m. Wilton Go Green, Neighbor to Neighbor and Wilton Library present Doug McDonald, builder and owner of the first retrofit Passivhaus in the country. Come learn about passive solar gain, energy recovery ventilators, and how Doug’s family uses their own body heat to keep their house at 73 degrees, using 90 percent less energy than a traditional home.
