The Cutting Season – Attica Locke: 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Cutting Season, author Attica Locke’s book is selected for a read at Wilton Library’s ninth community reads program. Ms. Locke will also discuss her work. Free. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Saturday, Sept. 28

Shredding Day for the Community: 9:00 a.m. Wilton Library is holding a shredding day fundraiser for the library in its parking lot. Minimum fee is $10; $15 for ½ of 65 gal container; $30 to fill full 65 gal container. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.

Sunday, Sept. 29

Connecticut's Own Concert: Storytelling Oboes by Oboe Duo Agosto: 4:00 p.m. A concert based on music inspired by poems, folktales, folk songs, myths and fables from all over the world. These stories deal with life, love, and allegory. By oboists Ling-Fei Kang and Charles Huang. Free. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road.
