WILTON, Conn. -- History goes down a little smoother with some rum -- at least that's the case at the Wilton Historical Society on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Join former First Selectman and town historian Robert Russell along with rare document expert John Reznikoff as they share historic documents from the early 1800s that tell us about Wilton's past.
The duo will also discuss the importance of rum to American soldiers in the 19th century.
Guests over the age of 21 can enjoy Colonial-style hot-buttered rum or a contemporary mojito.
