WILTON, Conn. -- Busy parents who need a bit of adult time can have a dream afternoon ahead of them by taking part in the Wilton Historical Society's Drop, Dash and Dine program.
The monthly program for parents and children allows parents to drop off their children at the society for a fun program while they enjoy a lunch at Bianco Rosso Wine bar with a 10 percent discount (or anywhere they would like). The first event takes place on from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
While parents are relaxing at lunch, children will be in the capable hands of Lola Chen, museum educator at the Wilton Historical Society. She has a full program planned, which includes a story time, a workshop to learn paper quilling, followed by lunch, which the children will help prepare.
Of course, parents also can use this block of time for anything they want – time at the gym, errands, salon appointments and more.
Space is limited, and reservations are required; please call Chen at 203-762-7257 to register your child and she will arrange your restaurant reservation. Children may be dropped off at the society between 11-11:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m. Restaurant reservations will be for 11:30 a.m.
Suggested for ages 5 and up. Cost: Wilton Historical Society members: $25 per child/each additional child $10/maximum $40 per family; Non-members $35 per child/each additional child $15/maximum $60 per family. Additional restaurants will be featured in future months.
The Wilton Historical Society is at 224 Danbury Road. For information, visit www.wiltonhistorical.org.
