WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Library kicks off its 13th year of the Summer Music and More Concert Series with Chance Browne and his band.
The first concert of the month will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11. Chance Browne and the Twinkies are renowned for their style of funk/blues tunes.
Browne is a comic strip artist who pens the drawings for the family comic strip "Hi and Lois." The Twinkies was formed in 1973.
Additional concerts in the series are:
- July 18—The Bernadettes –disco, Motown;
- July 25—Echoes of Sinatra with Steve Kazlauskas of Ridgefield;
- Saturday, Aug. 10, 7 p.m. special performance by In Harmony, bringing its rousing style of vocal oldies from the ’50s & ’60s.
All are open to the public, and the concerts and refreshments free. The event is sponsored by The Village Market, with wine provided by Michael Crystal.
