WILTON, Conn. -- Ambler Farm's Tap-a Tree Maple Syrup Program and Valentine's Tea return to Wilton in February.
Training sessions for Tap-a-Tree will be offered on Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The program will cover the science and history of syruping.
Participants will choose a tree and hang a bucket for sap collecting. Ambler Farm will keep families posted on their sap progress so they can return to collect the sap.
The sap will then be boiled down in the farm's sugar shack to make a bottle of maple syrup for each family to take home.
Participation is $65 for non-member families and $60 for members. Registration opens Jan. 15. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you register but cannot participate in either orientation.
Valentine's Tea will return with sandwiches, sweets and more on Feb. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. Registration is $20 per adult and $10 per child.
