Wilton's Commonfund Creates New Managing Director Position

WILTON, Conn. – The financial investment firm Commonfund recently created a new position, naming Jack H. Foster Jr. as managing director, private equity specialist for the Wilton-based company.

Foster will work with institutional investors in the eastern United States and Canada

“We are very excited to have Jack join our team,” said Commonfund Securities President Keith W. Luke in a press release.

“We expect his broad private capital experience will help to expand our investor relationships in private equity and provide more institutions with access to our unique programs and capabilities.”

Before Commonfund, Foster had been senior vice president at Capital Dynamics Inc., New York since 2011.

Previously, he was a director of private capital at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. – CastleOak Securities and vice president of corporate Ffinance/M&A, at Blaylock & Company, both in New York. He has also held positions at J.P. Morgan Securities, SONY Music Entertainment and Coopers & Lybrand.

Foster holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor of science in accounting, cum laude, from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee.
