The incident unfolded on Sunday, Oct. 7, when Newtown officers attempted to stop John Paul Suero of Danbury for having license plates that did not match the vehicle, the department said in a press release.  While attempting to stop the vehicle, Suero took off with officers in pursuit. On Monday, July 30, Officer Timothy Schoen was called to a local property, where there was a report of a “deer in distress.” The deer had caught one of its hind legs tangled in a fence and couldn’t get loose.
