WESTPORT, Conn. -- Students at schools in Westport will be on early dismissal Monday, Jan. 26, due to an approaching blizzard.
Staples will dismiss at 11:45 a.m.; all middle schools at 12:15 p.m.; and all elementary schools at 1 p.m. All after school activities are canceled or postponed.
A Blizzard Warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Monday until midnight Tuesday for Fairfield County with heavy snow expected to fall at a rate of 2 to 4 inches of snow, totaling 20 to 30 inches of snow. Winds of 30 to 40 mph and gusts of 55 to 65 mph in the forecast.
