Woman, 48, Faces DUI Charge After Swerving Over Double-Yellow Line In Greenwich, Police Say

A 48-year-old woman was arrested drunk driving after swerving her car, according to Greenwich Police.

Officers reportedly noticed a car on Thursday, Aug. 15 swerve over the double yellow line on Round Hill Road, police said.

During the traffic stop, the odor of alcoholic beverage was detected from the car, according to police.

After questioning the driver, Claire Haft, of Greenwich, it was reportedly determined she had previously consumed alcoholic beverages, said Greenwich Police.

Field sobriety tests were given Haft was then arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a handheld telephone/electronic device/texting; failure to drive in the proper lane, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Haft reportedly posted bond and is due in court Friday, Aug. 30.
