WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport police want you to buckle up as you travel during the Thanksgiving weekend.
The Westport Police Department will take part in a statewide period of targeted enforcement from Monday, Nov. 23 to Monday, Nov. 30.
The effort is to promote safe driving and increased protection of all motorists during the holiday season. Officers will be out enforcing the states occupant protection laws and will be issuing citations to those who are not in compliance, police say.
