WESTPORT, Conn. — A Danbury woman was arrested by Westport police on charges of buying a computer with her employer's money and keeping it, police said.
Westport officers responded to the Danbury Police Department on Wednesday and took custody of Danbury resident Rachael Keyes, 32, of 326 Avalon Lake Road, on an outstanding arrest warrant, police said.
The arrest warrant for Keyes stemmed from an investigation by the Westport Police into a larceny that was reported on June 23, police said.
Keyes, while working for a Westport business, had purchased a computer with company money and had taken it, police said. She also cashed a check written to another employee, police said.
Keyes was charged with fourth-degree larceny, illegal use of a credit card and receipt of money/goods by illegal use of a credit card, police said.
Keyes posted $2,500 bond and was issued a court date of July 24, police said.
