Troopers got a call at about 2 a.m. Friday about a suspicious incident at the Milford rest area on I-95 southbound.

When troopers arrived, they discovered a tractor-trailer in the rear of the rest area with a single bullet hole on the driver's side.

After looking at surveillance footage, state police are looking for a heavyset shirtless white male wearing blue jeans and a white female with dark hair, dark pants and a dark-T-shirt. Troopers also spoke to several witnesses and seized evidence.

They're also on the lookout for a tan Ford Super Duty-style truck with an extended cab that was driven by the white male with the female as his passenger, state police said. The truck was spotted leaving the rest area at a high rate of speed, witnesses told state police.

Troopers believe only a single shot was fired, and that the tractor-trailer driver wasn't connected with the male and female suspects. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Troop G at 203-696-2500, or send texts anonymously to 274637 by typing 'TIP711.'
