WESTPORT, Conn. — A Newtown man wanted on a warrant by Newtown police was arrested in Westport on Monday when officers found him in possession of 3.1 grams of heroin, police said.
Around 6:45 p.m., officers responded to the area of Sylvan Road South to find Christopher Evans, 31, of Rock Ridge Road, who was wanted on an active warrant for larceny, police said.
Westport officers stopped a car in which Evans was a passenger and found 10 small folds of suspected heroin in his wallet, police said. He was charged with possession of narcotics and released to the custody of Newtown Police, police said.
