The attorney for Cory Dawid declined to comment further Tuesday on the pretrial hearing other than to say his client has pleaded not guilty, the Easton Courier reported.

Easton police were dispatched to the Dawid home at 2 a.m. March 11 after Dawid's son called 911 reporting a fight between his parents. Cory Dawid initially denied there was a problem when police arrived.

Upon searching the premises, police discovered Dawid's wife unconscious. Reports indicated that Dawid told police he had strangled his wife then attempted to hang her.

Dawid remained in custody on $5 million bond.
