Two Fairfield County men were arrested after police received a call from a resident of "suspicious people" in a building.
Ta’Ron Pharr and Jaylen Wilson, both 20, of Bridgeport, were arrested after Bridgeport Police responded to a building in the 2200th block of Main Street, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport's Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the two men in an apartment and when officers began questioning them, Pharr ran out of the apartment and after a short pursuit was caught, Appleby said.
After being captured, officers found he was in possession of drug paraphernalia, Appleby said.
Officers also recovered a firearm that Pharr had allegedly tossed when being chased, he added.
Wilson was arrested at the building without incident.
Pharr was charged with criminal trespass, interfering/resisting arrest, possession with intent to sell and illegal possession, police said.
Wilson was also charged with criminal trespass, interfering/resisting arrest, and possession with intent to sell.
