Nor'easter: Storm Knocks Out Power In Connecticut

Hundreds in Connecticut are still without power as a Nor’easter rolls through the region dropping upwards of six inches of rain and wind gusts approaching 60 mph.

With the worst of the storm yet to hit, 1,789 of Eversource’s 1,287,274 customers in Connecticut were reporting outages as of 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

The bulk of the outages were being reported in:

  • Madison: 730;
  • Killingworth: 254;
  • Guilford: 177;
  • Marlborough: 121;
  • New London: 85;
  • Deep River: 72;
  • Washington: 67;
  • Harwinton: 62;
  • East Lyme: 59;
  • Montville: 27;
  • Branford: 25;
  • Stonington: 21;
  • Stamford: 15;
  • Westport: 13;
  • Danbury: 11;
  • New Milford: 11;
  • Wilton: 5.

Outages were also reported in Avon, Berlin, Cheshire, Chester, Clinton, Darien, East Haddam, Killingly, Ledyard, Lyme, Manchester, Monroe, Naugatuck, New Canaan, New Hartford, Newington, Norwalk, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Redding, Scotland, Southbury, Waterford, Woodbury.

United Illuminating was also reporting two outages in Fairfield impacting 89 customers and one in Milford affecting nine customers.
