WESTPORT, Conn. -- A truck full of donated items for victims of Hurricane Harvey will be loaded up this Saturday at the Imperial Avenue Lot in Westport.
In an effort to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, the donation collection has been organized by Westport resident and AquaFence Director Adam Goldberg. The donation drive will be held Saturday, Sept. 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Imperial Avenue Lot.
AquaFence is a company that produced portable flood barriers, and was not available in Texas for this storm, so the company is doing its part to help by providing one of its 30-foot trucks in Westport to lad with supplies and deliver them to Houston. They will be donating 100 percent of the items, as well as the truck, to those in need.
Accepted items for donation include:
- Non-perishable foods
- Snack bars/granola/breakfast bars
- Cleaning materials and detergents
- Diapers and formulas
- Clean blankets and pillows
- Soap, shampoo, deodorant, bug spray
- School supplies
- Pet food
- Clean, sorted and folded clothes
- Paper products
If you plan to donate, be sure to email Goldberg at email@example.com with a list of goods that will be included in the shipment.
